If you find yourself wishing you had the money you need to do the things you want, I believe Anthony Robbins said it the best when he made the above statement. Traditionally, society is taught to go to work, clock in and out, and the company dictates how much they pay you and when. It is becoming increasingly more clear that this way of thinking is not beneficial. The economy is just now recovering from a fall that occurred in the most part from people living beyond their means. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to tell yourself how much you get paid or when you can go on vacation? This is not impossible when you consider multi-level marketing as a viable option for going into business for yourself.
By definition, Multi-level marketing (also known as MLM or network marketing) is a business in which the sales force, usually considered self-employed, are paid not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of others they recruit, creating a downline of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation. This enables opportunities for advancement as well as the potential to generate residual income, depending on the product that you choose to market. For example, with Ambit Energy, the product that is marketed is electricity and natural gas, so the employed will be generating not only the linear income from the initial sale, but also residual income paid out from each month the energy customers are paying their bills. There are many statistics supporting the stability of network marketing going into the future, one being that more millionaires will be created by this type of business than any type in history. Here are a few quotes from some prominent businessmen and motivational speakers regarding network marketing.
Don't have the $$$ to start-up your franchise?
“Network marketing is the big wave of the future. It’s taking the place of franchising, which now requires too much capital for the average person.” — Jim Rohn, America’s Business Philosopher
Isn't that a pyramid scheme?
“I am often asked if Network Marketing is a Pyramid Scheme. My reply is that corporations really are pyramid schemes. A corporation has only one person at the top, generally the CEO, and everyone else
below.” — Donald Trump, Entrepreneur and Author
I have other big dreams in life. I don't have time to pursue another business idea.
“If you are a person with big dreams and would love to support others in achieving their big dreams, then the
network marketing business is definitely a business for you. You can start your business part-time at first and then as your business grows, you can help other people start their part-time business.
This is a value worth having – a business and people who help others make their
dreams come true.” — Robert T. Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur and Author
